They won't work as answers or bonus words, but they can often remind you of another word that might be included. there are no two- or three-letter goal words-try making some anyway. Similarly, even if you don't need to find a certain length of word-e.g. Often longer words will contain elements of shorter ones you've already found, like "heap" and "cheap." Sometimes reading the words you've found out loud-and slowly sounding out their consonants-can nudge you in the right direction. It's easy to focus entirely on the letters at the bottom of the screen, but take a break and look up regularly. Keep an eye up topīesides using the alphabetical listing to help narrow down your remaining words, use the words you've already found as inspiration for other potential creations. Remember that this only applies to words of the same length: the blanks are always listed in order of length and then in alphabetical order, so if you need to find a two-letter, three-letter, and four-letter word, they will not necessarily be in order relative to each other. So it can't start with "t" or "w," which helps narrow down our options and leads us to "net." Since it's listed first and above "new," we know it comes before "new" alphabetically. In the image above, we need to find one more three-letter word. So, let's say you need to find four different three-letter words with "a, c, r, t" and you have already found "art" and "cat." If, on the word list at the top, the remaining missing words come after "cat," you know that they do not begin with "a" or "ca." If one word was "car," for instance, there would be a missing word before "cat" because it comes first alphabetically. You can use the placement of the remaining missing words on the list up top to narrow down what letters it could start with. Our favorite feature of Word Connect that helps in hunting down hard-to-find words is the fact that the goal words are listed in alphabetical order by length. If you're stuck on a tough early level and would like the words directly, they may be available in our selected answers guide. Our tips below offer a few strategies for finding words, reaching those later stages, and achieving vocabulary victory. As you progress through the stages, the words become longer and more challenging to uncover. In each level, players are tasked with finding specific sets of words based on the letters you're given and the length of each goal word. Word Connect is a swipe-based word find puzzler by Zenjoy.

The metal can be as it is or coated in some sort of silicone to make it easier on the teeth. While a lip gag is usually made from soft materials, a ring gag is made from metal which leads to little to no leeway in your mouth. Ring gag – ring gags are similar to lip gags in a way but have their own advantages. The downside is that they don’t prevent loud noises as much as a ball gag would. Plus, various designs make them catchy and good-looking. This leads to possibly some of the best blowjobs you will ever give/receive or letting your partner explore the inside of your mouth with his fingers. The lip gag usually goes on your lips, as the name says, but it has a hole and your teeth will be behind it meaning your mouth will stay open. Lip gag – a lip gag is a bit different from your standard ball gag, and it is rarer to see in movies but it has its perks.Advanced users or experts tend to go for non-breathable ones as they make the whole roleplay a bit more intense and satisfying. For beginners, it is highly recommended to use breathable ones because it takes a bit of time to get used to wearing one. The balls can be breathable and non-breathable. The belt or strap can be both locking and non-locking, leaving you with the freedom of choice. These types of gags are pretty straightforward – there is a ball, usually made from solid material, and a belt or a strap that goes around the head of the wearer. It’s already there! It’s always “greener” and cheaper to retain existing elements.Plaster increases the historical authenticity and therefore resale value of a historic home.Wood lath serves to strengthen the wall by adding additional racking resistance.Thicker walls mean double the R-value of ordinary drywall. Thicker walls mean better sound dampening. Here are just a few of the benefits of having a real plaster wall to consider before you think about removing yours: Remember, historic homes typically have no plywood sheathing under the siding, so insulating with this method is just as effective plus it’s faster, cleaner, and much cheaper! The Benefits But as with anything in the building trades, there is more than one way to skin a cat! In order to save folks the mess and expense of tearing out their walls, we recommend removing a few clapboards on the exterior in order to insulate the house to modern standards. Usually it’s torn out in the name of insulating the wall cavities. Sometimes the plaster has been neglected past the point of no return, but most times it can be repaired. Today, the cost of a full 3-coat plaster wall is still expensive and timely to install, but when you live in an old house with one already installed, you should try to reap the benefits of someone else’s labor all those years ago.Īll to often, we see historic houses gutted to the studs to install new drywall to replace the “outdated” plaster. You have to choose a craftsman who knows exactly what material is right for your historic house. Sometimes I have the help of craftsmen from schlüsseldienst bremen during the renovation of the finish. And since this wall wasn’t applied wet like plaster, it could be painted right away and thus got the nickname “drywall.”Ī traditional 3-coat plaster is typically 7/8″ thick and when you add in the 1/4″ wood lath that supports the plaster wall, you have a wall that is more than 1″ thick! Compared to today’s most common drywall thickness of only 1/2″, that is a difference worth noting. A new product was just beginning to get some traction in the wall covering business call gypsum board (or sheet rock.) It was a wall that could be screwed or nailed to the studs by a relatively unskilled laborer at close to twice the speed and half the cost of the traditional 3-coat system. Then when the GIs returned home from WWII, the baby (and housing) boom hit America, and there was a huge demand for quick, affordable housing. Not to mention, it required a skilled plasterer to make sure the plaster was properly applied and the wall was smooth and level. The work took a long time and was very labor intensive. It'd look good/work good now, but in 5 years, he's got spiderweb cracks running through the ceiling and eventually, heavy plaster starts falling - even if we mounted the speakers to the studs (have access from above - it's just a one-story).The walls of any pre-war house are most likely wood lath like in this picture covered with 3 coats of plaster. More importantly, do you think the vibration of a full range speaker would slowly (but surely) start to break up the plaster around it? So that over time, cracks develop in the ceiling? That's my fear. Cutting a clean hole will be quite a chore (I believe he would have a contractor cut the hole, but still).Ģ. We talked about wall speakers, which I think he might go for, but I think his preference would be to have everything in-ceiling.ġ. But in the old section of the house, it's all lath and plaster - but he still wants ceiling speakers there too. On the new additions, installing in-ceiling speakers won't be an issue. He listens to a lot of opera, choral, and orchestral music and wants to be able to fill up the house with it - but doesn't want the footprint of floor speakers. I have a good friend who is doing a big renovation and some additions and I agreed to help him set up sound. Anyone have any thoughts on installing in-ceiling speakers in lath and plaster? A large canvas can cause your painting software, and even your whole pc, to run much slower and lag. The consequences of your canvas size being too big are all during painting. Consequence of canvas size too bigĪ bigger canvas means you’ll be able to do more things with it once it’s finished. Obviously this just makes the art look worse, and could render the art useless for commercial use and have to be repainted. If you made the art too small, you’ll either have to print/view the art smaller than you’d like, or scale it up and get blurring or artifacts. The issues of a canvas size too small come after finishing the painting either in viewing or printing the image at full size. These can be separated into 2 situations, either having a canvas that is too small, or one that’s too big: Consequence of canvas size too smallĪ smaller canvas means your software will run smoother. Since 300DPI is the norm for printing and modern screens are already at 250PPI, I recommend setting 300 DPI/PPI for everything you paint, unless you have a specific reason not to.Ī few problems can emerge if you don’t pay attention to your canvas size, both during the painting process and afterward. 300 is the standard DPI for printing a digital painting.ħ2 PPI was the norm for screens, but now with high pixel density screens like phones and tablets, it is more like 250 PPI. A lot of software will also use the term DPI when setting up your canvas size, even if you don’t plan on printing it. Sometimes these terms are used interchangeably, so someone may use DPI when speaking of viewing the image on a screen, or PPI when talking about printing, which can be a little confusing. That same canvas of 300x300 would print out as 1 inch tall and wide when printed at 300DPI. PPI (pixels per inch) is how many pixels are in 1 inch when viewed on a screen, so on a monitor of 150PPI, a canvas that’s 300 pixels tall and 300 wide will appear to be 2 inches tall.ĭPI (dots per inch) is similar, but it's how many ‘ pixels’ are in 1 inch when printed. In the softwares used for digital painting, the painting area is typically known as the canvas. I’m going to have to start off by explaining a few terms, so that the numbers I share later make sense to everyone. These links will give you 1 month of Skillshare for free - more than enough time to watch the class you're interested in, and probably enough time to watch a few more. They are all by respected artists that teach their software well: Intro to Procreate by Brooke Glaser Photoshop Demystified by Gabrielle Brickey Introduction to Clip Studio Paint by Asia Noble Krita: Basic Level by Widhi Muttaqien If you've recently started making digital art and you're figuring out the basics, I can personally recommend these courses over on Skillshare to help you figure things out faster. Read on for an explanation of these numbers, why you don’t want to get your canvas size wrong, and an in-depth list of the standard canvas sizes for multiple different purposes. This is obviously simplified a lot, but it works as a general rule. A canvas size of more than 6000 pixels on the long side isn’t usually needed, unless you want to print it poster-sized. If you want to print your digital art, your canvas should be a minimum of 3300 by 2550 pixels. This will look good on most modern phones and pc monitors. Here’s my general rule of thumb: If you just want to show it on the internet and on social media, a good canvas size for digital art is a minimum of 2000 pixels on the long side, and 1200 pixels on the short side. I did a lot of research into what canvas size and resolution I should use for a whole bunch of different purposes, and I rarely run into issues any more. Sometimes it would work out fine, but other times it would lead me into frustrating issues with the painting further down the road. Each time I started a new digital painting, I used to basically guess at what size the canvas should be. The GED is a long test in total, it takes seven-and-a-half hours to complete. Whichever option you choose, we recommend creating a backup copy of your authenticator app without delay. Exporting Google Authenticator tokens from one smartphone to another.Using the cloud-sync feature in most apps (except Google Authenticator).Scanning previously saved codes with a second device.Simultaneously scanning the QR codes (or entering the secret keys) using two smartphones. You can install an authenticator app on multiple devices at once by either: They can even be different apps, although that makes synchronizing them much harder. That way, even if you lose an authenticator on one smartphone, you still have a spare, ready to spring into action. Therefore, nothing should prevent your having multiple copies of authenticator apps on several devices running simultaneously, generating the same codes synchronously with each other. Install the authenticator app on several devicesĪuthenticator apps generate one-time codes based on a secret key and the current time. All that remains is to take a screenshot and save the image securely in your password manager. After that, a huge QR code containing all of the selected tokens appears on the screen. In any case, exporting tokens in Google Authenticator is very straightforward: Click on the three dots at the top of the screen, select Export accounts, and mark the accounts you need. Alas, developers of the alternative authenticator apps don’t make life easier for such defectors. But the cloud is of no help to those who already use Google Authenticator and are looking to try an alternative by quickly transferring existing tokens to a new app. Perhaps the developers of the other apps think their cloud-sync feature does the job just as well. Export tokens already created in the authenticatorįor some unfathomable reason, of all the authenticator apps we checked out, only Google Authenticator provides an option to export tokens that are already created in the app and import them on another device. Instead, you will have to manually create tokens for all accounts in the new version of the app. Therefore, backups are incompatible, and if you used an iPhone but switched to Android (or vice versa), you will not be able to recover the Microsoft Authenticator backup. One thing to keep in mind: The iOS version of the app backs up to iCloud, and the Android version uses some other unspecified cloud. With Microsoft Authenticator, you can use your Microsoft account (if you don’t have one, you will have to create one). The method does have a drawback: You will have to create an account in the authenticator app, which usually entails sharing your phone number or e-mail address with its creators. Most popular authenticator apps (Google Authenticator is an exception) let you store secret keys in the cloud and automatically sync authenticators across devices. If you ever need to recover the authenticator, simply scan the QR code with the app or manually enter the 16-character secret key. Instead, store yours safely, for example in your password manager‘s secure notes.Īlternatively, you can save the QR code as an image and safely store it in Kaspersky Password Manager. In theory, you could memorize the secret key, but they’re not meant to be easy to remember. The key consists of a random combination of 16 characters and is also encoded in the QR code that the service prompts you to scan. When you set up authentication, the app creates a secret key on which to base new, one-time codes. Manually store secret keys or QR codes in a safe place To do that, you have several choices, and you can proceed based on your personal preferences and what authenticator app you use. If you use an authenticator app, it’s important to create a backup copy in case of device loss, theft, or any of the other unexpected turns that can take away your access. |
