When Elmer sneaks back in, he ends up getting trampled by movie patrons going in and out, due to Bugs operating the notification lights until Elmer catches up to him. When Elmer attempts to get back inside, he runs into a guard, who then scares Elmer away. Bugs reports Elmer to the usher who throws Elmer out again. Elmer then chases Bugs into the men's lounge, but Bugs rushes back out and replaces the sign with the sign from the ladies' lounge. When Elmer inquires, Bugs splatters a pie in his face. Elmer chases Bugs to a different theater and is greeted by a message on screen requesting him to come to the box office. Elmer finds out that the "old lady" is Bugs in disguise ensuing a scuffle with Bugs as he calls an usher who throws Elmer out.īack at his seat, Bugs' view is blocked by a woman with a large hat-which turns out to be Elmer. Rocky leaves the stuffed head slot to eat the steak (unaware it is coated with hot sauce), and when he tries to wash it down with the drink, he gets even hotter and blows fire, screaming. Meanwhile, Fudd prepares a steak with numerous hot spices and a cup of boiling hot coffee, but sets it on the table when he realizes he forgot the bread. When Fudd goes into the kitchen to fix his lunch, Rocky makes a break for it by putting on a cloak and running outside, but the hunters still shoot at him, so Rocky runs back to his hiding place in Fudd's house. Rocky pokes his head into an empty slot for stuffed heads and pretends to be dead, but that proves difficult when tickled by a fly, sprayed with bug spray by Fudd, and is nearly hit by clumsily thrown darts by Fudd. The house is owned by Elmer Fudd, who has returned from hunting. He narrowly escapes gunfire as he runs into a town and breaks into a house. The premise for What's My Lion? is very similar to an earlier Oscar-nominated Disney cartoon called Rugged Bear (1953), also written by David Detiege.Ī mountain lion (Rocky) is proudly sitting on his throne, but gets nervous when he realizes that hunting season has begun. This is Elmer's final speaking appearance in the original theatrical Looney Tunes shorts he appears in 1962's Crow's Feat but does not have any dialogue.
